Terms of Use
By using ScreenCheck you agree to these terms. Please read them carefully. They are written in plain language to make them actually understandable.
Important: ScreenCheck test results are indicative diagnostics, not certified hardware measurements. Do not base warranty return decisions solely on ScreenCheck outputs.
1. Use of Service
ScreenCheck ("the Service") is provided free of charge for personal and professional display testing purposes. You may use the Service without creating an account.
You agree not to misuse the Service, attempt to reverse-engineer it, or use it for purposes that cause harm to others.
2. No Warranties
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. ScreenCheck makes no representations about the accuracy, completeness, or suitability of diagnostic results for any particular purpose.
Display test results are derived from browser Web APIs and visual pattern rendering. They are indicative, not definitive. For warranty claims or professional calibration, consult a certified display engineer or contact your manufacturer.
3. Limitation of Liability
ScreenCheck and its contributors shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service or reliance on its test results.
This includes, but is not limited to, decisions made about warranty returns, display purchases, hardware modifications, or professional assessments based on ScreenCheck outputs.
4. Privacy
ScreenCheck does not collect personal data. All tests run locally in your browser. User-created presets are stored in your browser's localStorage and are never transmitted to any server. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
5. Intellectual Property
The ScreenCheck codebase, test patterns, and written content are the intellectual property of ScreenCheck contributors. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without prior written permission.
Test result screenshots taken for personal or professional documentation purposes are permitted and encouraged.
6. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to update these terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. The "last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
7. Governing Law
These terms are governed by applicable law. Any disputes arising from use of the Service shall be resolved in the jurisdiction where ScreenCheck is registered.
